Yiğitsan YAD Heatless Dessicant Air Dryers provide constant -40 °C pressurized dew point. These Dryers are designed to supply clean very dry compressed air for critical applications. Pre-filters and after-filters are supplied along with Yiğitsan heatless Dessicant Air Dryers to keep the air stream clean and to maintain the integrity of dessicant medium. A very reliable electronic controller makes sure that the dryer operates perfectly all through the service life of the dryer.

YAD Heatless Dessicant Air Dryers are equipped with very special valves and dessicants in order to perform very well and it has one of the lowest pressure drop figure in its market.

Working Principle

In Silica Air Dryers, uninterrupted absorption of water vapor in compressed air is ensured by using desiccant silica with high crushing power and high surface/volume ratio with its twin tower design. The drying process is based on the principle of absorbing moisture as compressed air passes through a single silica tower. During this process, the silica that has collected moisture in the previous round is restored to its former state by the simultaneous expansion and evacuated air in the other silica tower. Heat is not used when restoring silica with this method, and the drying process is carried out by directing a small amount of fully dried air under atmospheric pressure taken from the air outlet to this tower. The flow rate of the discharge air can be adjusted to suit variable environmental conditions. The fully dried air flows in the opposite direction through the moist silica tower and sweeps away all the water vapor previously absorbed by the silica.

Yiğitsan Silica Air Dryer also ensures pressure equalization after drying the silica in the waiting tower, before turning on the switch in the twin towers and directing the air flow to the other tower. This process prevents air fluctuations that may occur on the line and minimizes the wear of the silica.
